Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day health and engagement of RTC's global Slack communities by moderating, facilitating conversations, and delivering member insights to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Moderate and facilitate community conversations across two Slack workspaces.
- Design and run member-to-member programming including channel activations and welcome experiences.
- Build relationships with members via personal communication and automate engagement workflows.
- Elevate member voices across affinity and identity-based groups.
- Identify and implement Slack integrations and tools to enhance member experience and streamline moderation.
- Surface member themes and insights to inform marketing, programs, and philanthropy.
- Monitor engagement health using community analytics and report insights to leadership.
- Gather member stories and testimonials for content marketing and impact reporting.
- Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing and Social Media teams to boost community activation and discovery.
- Support platform feature launches and adoption messaging within the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing and growing Slack or similar platform communities.
- Advanced fluency in community analytics and ability to interpret engagement metrics.
- Experience with Slack administration, community tooling, and CRM/marketing automation (HubSpot preferred).
- Exceptional written communication skills representing the brand in daily interactions.
Education
Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience
