Community Engagement Coordinator - Job Summary
Coordinate farmer engagement for a community-based agricultural program through content co-creation, digital community management, and field coordination in Indonesia with a hybrid remote and fieldwork arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard farmers into WhatsApp and other digital engagement channels.
- Manage community groups with regular engagement schedules and follow up on participation.
- Coordinate engagement activities with field staff and farmer leaders.
- Support gatherings, learning sessions, and onboarding activities.
- Collect farmer feedback, recurring questions, and field stories.
- Adapt approved materials into simple messages, visuals, audio, and short videos using basic tools.
- Maintain an organized content bank for facilitators and community channels.
- Ensure technical content review before publication.
- Track farmer onboarding, participation, content delivery, and community questions.
- Maintain participant lists and engagement trackers.
- Provide weekly updates and monthly progress summaries highlighting gaps and follow-up needs.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in community engagement, communications, digital content, or related role.
- Comfortable managing WhatsApp groups and engaging rural communities.
- Basic skills in writing, photography, video editing, Canva, and CapCut.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and maintain simple trackers.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Organized, responsive, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to West Java and Lampung.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in communications, community development, agriculture, social sciences, or related field (desirable).
- Experience with farmers or community-based programs (desirable).
- Familiarity with agriculture, sustainability, or rural development (desirable).
- Ability to communicate in Sundanese or Javanese (desirable).
