Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage and grow the Soulbound player community across multiple platforms by developing strategies, creating engaging content and events, and acting as a bridge between players and the development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take on an existing community of 25,000+ members
- Lead and support moderators and community volunteers
- Manage messaging across platforms for releases, updates, and events
- Run 2-3 community events such as housing showcases and contests
- Send personalized influencer outreach emails and follow up
- Craft authentic Reddit threads in relevant communities
- Prepare weekly community reports on feedback and growth
- Manage and cultivate activity in the Community Hub
- Collaborate with guilds and integrate them into Soulbound
- Develop Discord engagement loops with challenges and rewards
- Curate user-generated content like fan art and meme roundups
- Lead a Content Creator Program for early access and spotlights
- Provide player insights and feedback to the development team
- Create media training and vetting programs for team members
- Manage social media channels and schedule compelling content
- Collaborate with content creators and streamers and promote their work
Requirements
- Experienced MMO player familiar with guilds, housing, fashion, and endgame
- Managed a Discord community of 5000+ members, including moderation and events
- Experience managing a video game community, preferably during a launch
- Ability to create short-form video content using editing tools
- Understand meme culture and maintain authentic communication style
- Self-starter who proactively engages in relevant Reddit threads
- Able to engage productively with tough MMO communities and have media training
- Willingness to play the game extensively
