Director of Marketing and Community Engagement - Job Summary
The Director of Marketing and Community Engagement is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, enhancing brand visibility, driving patient engagement, and leading outreach initiatives to build community partnerships aligned with the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, patient acquisition, and community engagement.
- Create and manage all brand content including copywriting, graphic design, and creative direction across communication channels.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation for strategic positioning.
- Manage public relations efforts including press releases, media outreach, and stakeholder partnerships.
- Serve as primary content creator for marketing materials including social media graphics, digital ads, brochures, and videos.
- Design and produce visual content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Maintain and execute content calendar for campaigns and engagement across platforms.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including website strategy, paid advertising, SEO/SEM, and email marketing.
- Manage and optimize CRM systems such as HubSpot with automation tools to support patient acquisition.
- Analyze CRM and digital analytics to measure and refine marketing strategies.
- Lead community outreach initiatives and build partnerships with local organizations and community leaders.
- Ensure outreach activities align with grant-funded programs and reporting requirements.
- Supervise the Community Outreach team and oversee execution of community engagement efforts.
- Represent Spectrum Medical at community events and networking engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing and outreach team with clear goals and performance metrics.
- Oversee vendor relationships with creative agencies and media partners.
- Ensure collaboration between marketing, outreach, and clinical teams for strategic alignment.
- Develop and manage marketing and outreach budget ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Track ROI on campaigns and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field; master’s preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of marketing, outreach, communications, or community engagement experience exclusively within healthcare.
- Proven track record of successful marketing and outreach campaigns.
- Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
- Strong understanding of branding, public relations, and community engagement best practices.
- Ability to analyze marketing data and adjust strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills in a mission-driven healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM including marketing automation and campaign tracking.
- Ability to leverage CRM analytics for data-driven insights and patient engagement optimization.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field.
