Community Marketing Manager - Job Summary
The Community Marketing Manager will develop and deliver clear communications and community engagement initiatives to strengthen relationships and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit engaging content for print and digital platforms including newsletters, social media, press releases, and marketing materials
- Support brand consistency across all communications and promotional materials
- Assist with media relations, including drafting media pitches and coordinating interviews
- Track, measure, and report on communications metrics to assess effectiveness
- Plan and coordinate community outreach initiatives, events, and meetings
- Serve as a point of contact for community members responding to inquiries and concerns
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Support inclusive and culturally responsive engagement efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate initiatives into compelling communications
- Provide logistical and communications support for public forums, workshops, and community events
- Build and document processes on SharePoint to manage project requirements and workflows
Requirements
- Exceptional communication abilities in writing, speaking, and active listening
- In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business, PR, advertising, marketing, sales copy, and social media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage with team members across all levels and departments
- Strong project management skills including time management, goal setting, multitasking, and prioritization
- Good data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Advanced organizational abilities
- Ability to commute daily to the office with flexibility for telecommuting 2-3 times a week after initial employment period
Education
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Community Engagement, or related field, or equivalent experience
