Event and Community Manager - Job Summary

The Event and Community Manager drives community awareness, trust, and lead generation through events, grassroots outreach, and online engagement, serving as the firm's primary presence in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend relevant community, cultural, nonprofit, and immigration-related events aligned with firm outreach goals.
  • Maintain a 90-day event pipeline with upcoming opportunities, registrations, and logistics.
  • Coordinate event registrations, sponsorships, booth logistics, and staffing.
  • Ensure all event materials are prepared and confirmed at least 72 hours prior to events.
  • Set up booth displays and materials, represent the firm professionally and culturally sensitively at events.
  • Engage attendees proactively, collect qualified leads, and complete intake forms.
  • Maintain organized and visually appealing booth presentation.
  • Manage and transport event materials including banners, signage, tablets, flyers, business cards, and swag.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, influencers, and event organizers.
  • Maintain follow-up communication with community partners.
  • Identify and develop collaboration, partnership, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Position the firm as a trusted and accessible resource within the immigrant community.
  • Create event-related social content on multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok).
  • Build and maintain active online communities and respond promptly to comments and messages.
  • Produce content including event promotion, live coverage, community highlights, educational content, and short-form video.
  • Order and manage promotional items and booth materials, track inventory, initiate reorders, and source cost-effective vendors.
  • Propose and develop new ideas for community engagement, workshops, sponsorships, partnerships, outreach, and social campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align initiatives with marketing and lead generation goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, community outreach, or related field.
  • Experience in social media content creation and community management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable representing the firm publicly and engaging large audiences.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, and HubSpot preferred.
  • Available for occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel between local office locations and event sites.
  • Must maintain professional and culturally sensitive conduct in community interactions.
