Community Manager - Job Summary

The Southern Community Manager supports community builders to create welcoming experiences for young adult Jewish communities. This role includes mentoring residents, recruiting community builders, tracking program metrics, and connecting residents to resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage a diverse pool of House and Pod residents to create meaningful programs and communities.
  • Recruit residents for new and existing Moishe Houses and Pods through social networks and regional connections.
  • Maintain relationships with community members and local partners; facilitate skills development.
  • Manage financial data and administrative tasks to support community builders and gatherings.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead and facilitate special projects such as conferences, retreats, and improving departmental processes.

  • Excited to serve as a mentor and manager to community residents.
  • Innovative with the ability to think creatively and solve problems efficiently.
  • Strong mentoring and facilitation skills.
  • Strong networking abilities and enjoyment in learning about people.
  • Organized and capable problem solver.
  • Multi-skilled and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility with work hours including weekdays, occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with Mem Global as staff, resident, host, or community member preferred.
  • Embrace and demonstrate Mem Global’s Identity Statements and Mindset.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of work experience
