Social Media Coordinator - Job Summary
Responsible for developing and executing social media content, engaging with the community both online and in-person, and supporting marketing and outreach efforts to grow the store's presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging social media content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
- Plan, create, and schedule content using a content calendar and management platform
- Monitor social media activity and respond to followers professionally
- Stay current on social media trends and platform updates
- Capture photos and videos highlighting store products, events, employees, and vendors
- Create email marketing campaigns and promotional blasts
- Collaborate with store leadership and external marketing firm to promote initiatives
- Track engagement metrics and recommend growth strategies
- Support community outreach, including donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and events
- Assist with additional marketing and promotional projects as needed
Requirements
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
- Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices
- Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing
- Experience using content scheduling or social media management platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative eye for photography, video, and storytelling
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and external marketing partners
- Community relations, public relations, nonprofit, or donation coordination experience is a plus
- Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Express) is a plus
