Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage and engage a global Open Source Software community by fostering communication, organizing initiatives, and supporting users.

Be main point of contact for the OSS community by answering questions and encouraging discussion.
Launch and manage community initiatives such as forums and newsletters.
Interact with users across platforms like Discord, Reddit, forums, and social media.
Develop and schedule content including developer diaries, updates, user spotlights, and rewards.
Collaborate with marketing to ensure brand consistency.
Respond promptly and professionally to community feedback and comments.
Plan and host online and offline events like beta tests, Q&As, competitions, and meetups.
Gather and report community feedback and engagement metrics.
Provide insights and user needs reports to the development team.
Monitor sentiment and trends across channels.

2+ years experience as a Community Manager, ideally in tech or OSS.
Proven success in growing and managing online communities.
Deep understanding of online communities, culture, and trends.
Familiarity with Open Source Software culture and models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Hands-on experience with Discord, Github, Hootsuite, and analytics platforms.
Content creation skills including basic graphic design, video editing, or copywriting.
Direct experience managing an OSS community considered a plus.
Experience with software development (coding, testing, design).
Must have Greek VAT number and be able to work for a Greek company.
Military service completed.
