Network Community & Learning Manager - Job Summary
Responsible for cultivating and managing a learning community across the 826 Network, designing professional learning experiences, and serving as a responsive support for chapter staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the 826 Network learning community and virtual trainings, including cohort leadership and facilitation.
- Create strategic engagement opportunities and manage the Chapter Exchange program.
- Advance and steward 826's pedagogical tenets and program practices through resources and training.
- Manage network-wide communications, including staff newsletters and serving as point of contact for chapter staff.
- Maintain and expand shared programmatic resources, onboarding systems, and knowledge base (826Connect).
- Support administration of network-wide programs and collaboration on programmatic initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training on 826 best practices and pedagogy.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to support network engagement, training, and content development.
- Contribute to broader organizational projects and initiatives that extend 826’s reach.
Requirements
- Passion for 826 National's mission with commitment to student and staff experience.
- 3-5 years experience in community engagement, facilitation, nonprofit network support, or education sector.
- Strong virtual facilitation and technical skills managing digital platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Experience in adult learning design and training content development.
- Proficient with Google Suite including Google Sites and Drive.
- Technology agility and ability to implement new digital tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills managing multiple initiatives.
- Collaborative, service-oriented approach supporting distributed teams.
- Solutions-oriented, systems-thinking mindset for building programs and structures.
- Experience with in-person event facilitation is a plus; role focus is virtual.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
