Game Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage and grow the game community across various social channels by planning content, hosting events, moderating forums, and collaborating with teams to enhance engagement and track community metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all social channels including Steam Hub, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, TikTok
  • Plan and publish daily/weekly content such as dev-logs, patch notes, polls, AMAs, memes
  • Create community campaigns like Wishlist Wednesday, playtests, contests, giveaways
  • Write in-universe posts matching the game’s humorous sci-fi tone
  • Translate and localize key messages in English and Vietnamese
  • Monitor feedback, bug reports, sentiment and triage to the dev team
  • Host live streams, dev chats, and community play sessions
  • Moderate Discord and Steam forums to ensure fun, respectful, on-brand discussions
  • Develop visual guidelines for social assets and short-form videos with art team
  • Collaborate with marketing, PR, and influencers to promote major events
  • Track KPIs including followers, engagement, wishlists, demo downloads, sentiment trends
  • Deliver monthly reports with insights and growth plans

Requirements

  • 5+ years of community management or social media experience in games, tech, or fandom-driven brands
  • Bilingual English and Vietnamese (written and spoken) with tone-perfect copywriting skills
  • Proven success growing Discord or Steam communities
  • Comfortable on camera for platforms like Twitch, TikTok, live Q&As
  • Solid understanding of PC/RTS audiences
  • Experience with tools such as Discord admin, Canva/Photoshop, and basic video editing (CapCut/Premiere)
  • Must live in Ho Chi Minh City or be willing to relocate
