Community Marketing Manager - Job Summary
The Community Marketing Manager will lead the creation, strategy, and performance of Boston Proper's organic social content across multiple platforms to build community, drive engagement, and grow brand reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead organic social strategy across Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
 - Create monthly and seasonal content calendars aligned with marketing and merchandising priorities.
 - Stay current on trends, platform updates, and creator culture to keep brand presence relevant and engaging.
 - Collaborate cross-functionally on campaigns to amplify social and influencer strategies.
 - Track KPIs such as engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
 - Use data insights to refine content strategy and identify growth opportunities.
 - Lead content creation including concepting, producing, shooting, and editing short- and long-form videos.
 - Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to support campaigns and seasonal storytelling.
 - Ensure high-quality video production with proper lighting and sound.
 - Edit videos and design visual assets consistent with brand guidelines.
 - Manage influencer and brand ambassador partnerships including sourcing, outreach, and contracts.
 - Oversee PR strategy, manage media opportunities, and coordinate with agencies.
 - Identify user-generated content and creator collaborations to enhance brand authenticity.
 - Monitor and engage with the online community and manage brand reputation.
 - Work closely with creative, eCommerce, merchandising, and brand teams to align content priorities.
 - Present strategies and results to leadership and build scalable content creation processes.
 
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
 - 3+ years experience in social media, influencer marketing, PR, or community management.
 - Preferred experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle.
 - Creative strategist with hands-on execution skills.
 - Fluent in social culture, trends, and platform algorithms.
 - Strong visual storytelling and styling ability.
 - Experience shooting and editing own content or working with small teams.
 - Self-starter with ownership mentality and entrepreneurial mindset.
 - Proven success in growing brand engagement and community across platforms.
 - Familiarity with social analytics and performance data.
 - Experience creating content for platforms like Reels, TikTok, YouTube.
 - 1-3 years experience in content creation, social media production, or digital marketing.
 - Experience with DSLR, mirrorless, or high-quality mobile device shooting.
 - Basic motion graphics or animation skills are a plus.
 - Strong video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Canva Video Editor).
 - Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva for graphics.
 - Knowledge of lighting techniques and audio recording tools.
 - Understanding of video formats, compression, and export settings.
 - Excellent visual composition, pacing, and storytelling skills.
 - Organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
 
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
