Director of Community Engagement - Job Summary
Lead regional growth initiatives in the Columbus area by managing strategic partnerships, community outreach, sales operations, and team leadership to expand the company's footprint and drive service utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute regional growth plans analyzing behavioral health market trends.
- Identify, secure, and nurture partnerships with treatment centers and community organizations.
- Tailor partnership strategies for sustainable growth and mutual benefit.
- Serve as senior contact and ambassador for internal and external partners.
- Hire, train, and lead outreach and community engagement teams.
- Set regional outreach goals, KPIs, and quotas; oversee team performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and relevant laws.
- Engage in client and provider recruitment within Navita Health ecosystem.
- Support peer recovery supporters with placement, training, and certification.
- Coordinate and participate in community events and advocacy forums.
- Participate actively in local boards and advocacy groups to promote services.
- Track referral sources, outreach activities, and report results monthly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in partnership development, community engagement, account management, or healthcare sales.
- 2+ years in supervisory, management, or team leadership role required.
- Experience or strong preference for behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder recovery field.
- Existing relationships within Columbus healthcare community preferred.
- Knowledge of Ohio’s Medicaid behavioral health system and referral management preferred.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance required.
- Proficient in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot), Google Suite, EHRs, and data management tools.
- Willingness to undergo background and driving record checks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
