Global Head of Social & Community - Job Summary

Lead World’s global social media presence and community engagement across all platforms, developing strategy and managing a high impact team to build the company’s global identity and trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve global social media strategy across all platforms
  • Build and manage a high performing social team of content creators and community managers
  • Oversee real-time engagement, platform growth, content performance, and storytelling
  • Build and scale vibrant online communities across diverse geographies and audiences
  • Engage in content creation for key initiatives
  • Develop systems for social listening, sentiment analysis, and real-time response
  • Own and lead crisis communication and reputation management
  • Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Product, and regional teams for message alignment
  • Track metrics and optimize for reach, engagement, and trust
  • Experiment with new social media formats and platforms

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading social media globally for high profile organizations, preferably in tech, crypto, AI, or mission-driven sectors
  • Deep expertise across major social platforms with editorial and creative sensibility
  • Proven ability to build and engage large online audiences from scratch or high-growth environments
  • Experience in social media crisis management and handling complex public-facing issues
  • Strong leadership skills managing teams across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work in high-speed, ambiguous, high-stakes environments
  • Passion for innovation and curiosity about emerging platforms
  • Highly collaborative and communicative with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excitement about the future of proof-of-personhood online
