Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage and engage Zipline's social media communities to build trust, foster brand loyalty, and raise awareness of Zipline's mission, technology, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day community engagement on social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
  • Respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and trends in real time with accuracy and sound judgment.
  • Maintain a consistent, human, and brand-aligned voice across platforms.
  • Monitor social conversations, sentiment, and emerging issues; identify risks and opportunities early.
  • Develop and execute a social/community engagement plan with growth targets; track performance and iterate based on insights.
  • Lead cross-channel posting schedules and coordinate with teams to meet deadlines.
  • Share earned media content on social channels.
  • Support product launches and key moments with heightened community engagement and moderation.
  • Provide community insights and analytics reporting to inform content and communications strategy.
  • Maintain brand voice and visual standards while experimenting creatively.
  • Collaborate with Communications, Social + Film, Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Travel approximately 20% as needed.

Requirements

  • 6+ years managing social media communities for brands or organizations.
  • Exceptional writing skills with strong instincts for tone and audience context; copywriting experience is a plus.
  • Experience engaging diverse audiences in fast-moving or high-visibility environments.
  • Understanding of social platforms, culture, best practices, trends, and formats.
  • Proven judgment in sensitive and high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm during multiple live interactions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Strong storytelling skills.
  • Experience working with media relations, creators, influencers, and YouTubers is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to travel about 20% of the time.
