Lead Community Manager - Job Summary
Lead the community vision and strategy for RuneScape, acting as a key advocate for players and helping guide the game's direction and content roadmap within the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the community strategy and vision for RuneScape 3
- Advocate for players on the RuneScape Leadership Team and contribute to game direction and content roadmap
- Build and lead processes for player involvement in development decisions
- Establish regular community engagement through livestreams, videos, and social channels
- Lead community health reporting and risk analysis using data and team insights
- Manage and mentor two Community Managers
- Collaborate with Social Media and Marketing teams for go-to-market campaigns and messaging
- Own budgets for Community Management and Creator Commissions
- Represent the RuneScape brand across multiple formats
- Maintain deep expertise of the game as an active player
Requirements
- Experience managing large-scale live service gaming communities
- Proven experience communicating with and impacting leadership teams
- Experience building and owning community strategies and campaigns with measurable impact
- Knowledge and experience representing a major brand or title with community engagement
- Understanding of game development workflows and processes
- Ability to report, translate, and qualify community dialogue
- Management or mentorship experience of community managers
- Strong grasp of gaming culture, community psychology, and live game dynamics
