Director of Marketing and Community Engagement - Job Summary
Leadership role responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, enhancing brand visibility, driving patient engagement, and leading community outreach initiatives aligned with SMCC’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and patient acquisition
- Create and manage all brand content including copywriting, graphic design, and creative direction
- Implement brand identity and messaging across all platforms
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation
- Manage public relations efforts and media outreach
- Serve as primary content creator for marketing materials and social media
- Design and produce visual content using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Maintain and execute content calendar for campaigns and events
- Generate engaging website, newsletter, and social media content including short-form videos
- Lead digital marketing efforts including SEO/SEM, paid ads, and email marketing
- Manage and optimize CRM systems like HubSpot with automation tools
- Analyze CRM and digital analytics to measure and adjust campaigns
- Lead community outreach initiatives and build partnerships
- Supervise Community Outreach team and ensure grant compliance
- Represent SMCC at community events and networking
- Lead, mentor, and develop marketing and outreach teams
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure collaboration across teams
- Develop and manage marketing and outreach budget
- Track and report ROI and performance metrics with data-driven recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 7 years marketing, outreach, communications experience exclusively in healthcare
- Proven success in developing and executing marketing and outreach campaigns
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, SEO/SEM, and content marketing
- Strong knowledge of branding, public relations, and community engagement best practices
- Ability to analyze marketing data and adjust strategies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills in healthcare environments
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools
- Experience leveraging CRM analytics for marketing insights and engagement
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field
