Community Engagement Manager - Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for building and leading the Experiences host Community strategy across EMEA and APAC, implementing regional community programs, and fostering host engagement and connection while working closely with Airbnb's central and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the central Airbnb Community team and assigned regional host Community, advocating for their needs and reporting on community health.
- Lead community support, growth, and engagement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage Community Leaders and launch host Clubs within the territory.
- Design and implement initiatives and content strategies to drive host engagement and foster community connection.
- Coach and support local Community Leaders, addressing issues and educating them on product changes.
- Support and adapt global Community Engagement programs for local languages and needs.
- Organize and lead both online and in-person Community events.
- Support development and scaling of community-driven pilots to drive host success and business goals.
- Provide market-specific insights and serve as a key resource on local community trends and dynamics.
Requirements
- Previous experience scaling communities while maintaining high engagement.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading programs and processes.
- Ability to align community goals with strategic business objectives.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Salesforce, Google Suite, event management tools, and analytical tools.
- Entrepreneurial, action-oriented with a growth mindset and high autonomy.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective cross-functional partner with negotiation and consensus-building abilities.
- Fluency in English.
