Community Management Team Lead - Job Summary
Lead a team to develop and execute community strategies for Dead by Daylight, enhance player engagement, and act as the player voice internally to ensure effective communication between players and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-create and implement community strategy focused on player loyalty, trust, and excitement.
- Advocate for community needs by providing actionable, data-informed feedback to developers and related teams.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary community team with player-first goals.
- Ensure alignment with Brand, PR, Creator Relations, Customer Support, and Game Production.
- Oversee creation and distribution of community content including patch notes, dev updates, livestream Q&As, and social media posts.
- Identify and improve team workflows to increase efficiency without compromising quality.
- Manage the community calendar across multiple platforms aligned with game content and campaigns.
- Track and report KPIs such as sentiment, engagement, social growth, and community health metrics.
- Handle basic HR tasks such as PTO, timesheets, and one-on-ones while maintaining team morale.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and trainings to improve team effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in live service gaming with active, vocal player communities.
- Expertise in multiplayer community dynamics including meta, balance, content gaps, and player trust.
- Strong affinity for horror genre and knowledge of Dead by Daylight community culture.
- Hands-on experience with platforms like Reddit, Discord, forums, and social media.
- Strong content creation skills including posts, memes, patch explanations, and dev diaries.
- Comfortable with community KPIs such as DAU engagement, sentiment tracking, churn analysis, and platform analytics.
- Leadership experience managing a community team in fast-paced or AAA environments.
- Understanding of survivor vs. killer dynamics, MMR frustrations, PTB feedback, and DbD community nuances.
- Familiarity with Scrum or Agile production methodologies.
