Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage and grow an engaged Discord community from zero to 10K members, create a top-tier moderation team, and maintain active and safe community interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Run daily community engagement on Discord and Telegram with a focus on Discord.
- Create and execute weekly content/event plans including prompts, polls, AMAs, giveaways, quests, and leaderboards.
- Build community culture through tone of voice, memes, rituals, and retention loops.
- Identify key community members and create loyalty programs.
- Moderate and maintain community safety by removing spam/scams and managing bans and warnings.
- Set up and manage moderation workflows and incident response.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer moderators with clear shifts and reporting.
- Coordinate announcements related to product updates, promotions, and tournaments.
- Liaise with Support, Risk, and Payments teams to resolve user issues.
- Collect and report structured user feedback to Product and Growth teams.
- Maintain community operational tools such as calendars, FAQs, bot automations, and channel structures.
- Track and report community KPIs including user activity, message volume, sentiment, retention, event participation, and support deflection.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience managing communities on Telegram and/or Discord, preferably in crypto, iGaming, fintech, or gaming.
- Strong written communication skills with ability to match brand tone across platforms.
- Comfortable moderating high-traffic chats and handling conflict calmly.
- Organised and reliable with ability to run calendars, workflows, and repeatable weekly plans.
- Familiarity with community bots and tooling like MEE6, Dyno, Collab.Land.
- Experience in crypto casinos, sportsbooks, or iGaming.
- Experience working with KOLs/influencers and coordinating community-driven campaigns.
- Basic analytics skills for dashboards, KPI reporting, and sentiment tracking.
- Experience with event and community growth strategies such as quests and tournaments.
