Community Marketing Manager - Job Summary
Lead the organic content strategy and creation across social channels to build community, increase brand engagement, and grow Boston Proper's brand reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop organic social strategy across platforms including Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Create monthly and seasonal content calendars aligned with marketing and merchandising priorities.
- Stay updated on trends, platform changes, and creator culture to keep the brand relevant.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on campaigns and ensure social and influencer strategies support seasonal launches.
- Track KPIs for engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
- Concept, produce, shoot, and edit social-first content including short and long-form videos.
- Design visual assets consistent with brand guidelines using Photoshop or Canva.
- Manage influencer and brand ambassador partnerships including sourcing, outreach, briefing, and contract management.
- Oversee PR strategy, earned media opportunities, and coordinate with agency partners.
- Monitor online brand presence, community engagement, and reputation across platforms.
- Partner with creative, eCommerce, Merchandising and brand teams to align storytelling.
- Present strategies and results to leadership and build scalable content creation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
- 3+ years experience in social media, influencer marketing, PR, or community management.
- Preferably experience in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle sectors.
- Creative strategist comfortable with both ideation and execution.
- Fluent in social culture, trends, platform algorithms, and performance drivers.
- Strong visual storytelling skills with an eye for styling and brand alignment.
- Experience filming, editing, and designing content for digital platforms.
- Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ownership attitude.
- Proven track record of growing brand engagement and community connections across platforms.
- Familiarity with social analytics tools and performance-based strategy.
- Experience with DSLR, mirrorless, or high-quality mobile filming devices.
- Video editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva for graphic creation.
- Knowledge of lighting techniques, sound recording, and video format standards.
- Organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects.
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
