Community Engagement Lead - Job Summary
Lead and manage the Connect for Life program by fostering connections among community members through events, outreach, and personalized engagement to promote health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Connect For Life program using Wider Circle's curriculum to build trust and promote health.
- Plan and host virtual and in-person events to foster member relationships and wellness.
- Proactively contact members to ensure participation in events and activities including home visits.
- Document all member interactions accurately through online digital systems.
- Identify community leaders to serve as Wider Circle Ambassadors.
- Conduct outreach to prospective members to enroll them in the program.
- Serve as liaison connecting members to health plans and health care services.
- Meet membership engagement and growth goals using relevant metrics.
- Manage time and report hours worked remotely.
- Conduct home canvassing to meet members and encourage event participation.
- Perform essential physical tasks including driving, carrying supplies, and public speaking.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 90 miles.
- Team player with leadership capabilities.
- Proactive and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- 3+ years experience in community outreach, teaching, or facilitation; healthcare experience is a plus.
- Experience building or supporting communities of 500+ members.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on commitments.
- Comfortable with web and app-based technology.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Flexible availability including outside regular business hours.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Education
Associate's degree preferred; 5+ years relevant experience may substitute degree.
