Digital Community Manager - Job Summary
Lead the development and growth of a next-generation digital community platform by managing operations, engagement, and strategy to connect customers, experts, and innovators.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Community Programs Manager to relaunch and evolve the digital community experience
- Manage end-to-end administration of the community platform ensuring performance and member experience
- Develop and maintain a long-term platform roadmap with phased expansion
- Manage vendor relationships and platform development initiatives
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless integration across digital ecosystems
- Track and report community performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities
- Establish and enforce community moderation policies for a safe and inclusive environment
- Oversee member support processes with timely resolution of inquiries
- Build and manage a community programming calendar with engaging content and activities
- Design initiatives like campaigns, challenges, discussions, and AMAs to encourage participation
- Drive community growth and retention through creative engagement strategies
- Improve group creation and activation workflows for vibrant community groups
- Define scalable group growth criteria and processes
- Serve as community liaison across Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and others
- Establish feedback loops for community insights to inform strategy and product development
- Partner with leadership to design and launch an automated SME program
- Build recruitment, onboarding, and engagement strategies for SMEs
- Host quarterly SME networking meetups
- Assist with community-related events including quarterly in-person gatherings in Austin
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 3–4 years experience in community management, digital program management, or B2B customer marketing
- Hands-on experience with community platforms like Higher Logic, Bevy, or Khoros
- Experience with platform administration and vendor management
- Ability to design scalable, automated programs delivering measurable engagement and business impact
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Highly organized and data-driven for tracking engagement and improving programs
- Comfortable engaging directly with community members
- Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or construction technology is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
