Community Engagement Intern - Job Summary
Interns contribute to building and maintaining community relationships and support Zipline's mission by engaging stakeholders and assisting with communications and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and virtual meetups
- Support development of content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels
- Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms
- Conduct research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies
- Help track engagement metrics and compile reports on community feedback and outcomes
- Provide general administrative support to the community engagement team
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for community building and social impact
- Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups)
- Detail-oriented and organized with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Creative thinker with enthusiasm and initiative
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle preferred
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) strongly preferred
Education
Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
