Community Engagement Lead - Job Summary
Lead community engagement efforts with hosts, focusing on social strategy, program management, and event execution to strengthen host relationships and brand alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hosts as their day-to-day contact
- Ensure host participation aligns with Airbnb brand values and marketing goals
- Lead host training sessions on social media best practices and storytelling
- Collaborate on social strategy and asset creation with agency partners and internal teams
- Guide hosts in creating compelling social content emphasizing community and empowerment
- Track participation and support content optimization
- Manage relationships and deliverables across Community, Policy, Marketing, PR, Legal, and agencies
- Coordinate content amplification, reporting, purchase orders, and budget tracking
- Plan and support execution of local host engagement events in Los Angeles
- Manage event logistics, guest outreach, internal collaboration, and post-event storytelling
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in community management, social marketing, or grassroots organizing
- Detail-oriented and organized with ability to prioritize multiple workstreams
- Experience leading trainings with grassroots communities
- Execution-oriented with strong internal collaboration skills
- Program management experience focused on marketing
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Financial acumen including managing budgets, purchase orders, and vendor contracts
- Strong analytical, data, and troubleshooting skills
