Community Manager - Job Summary
Lead the launch and management of a membership-based community focused on major corporations, driving community value, member growth, and engagement through strategic design, planning, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define community objectives, mission, membership tiers, participation requirements, and governance rules
- Develop strategies for recruiting initial members
- Identify and onboard potential member companies, primarily large enterprises
- Clarify membership benefits and value propositions
- Plan initiatives to improve retention and participation
- Create welcome messages and manage regular member communications
- Operate community tools such as Slack, Teams, or dedicated platforms
- Design networking opportunities and spaces for members
- Plan and execute online/offline events and manage annual event calendar
- Coordinate with speakers, lecturers, and guest participants
- Set and analyze KPIs related to membership growth, participation, and satisfaction
- Plan and implement improvement measures based on feedback
Requirements
- Over 3 years of experience in B2B marketing or customer success
- Practical experience in community design and management (online and offline)
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills with large enterprises
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Proven project management abilities
- Business level Japanese and English proficiency
