Outreach and Community Engagement Manager - Job Summary
Lead outreach and engagement efforts across Warwickshire to help local workplaces, organisations, and individuals participate in Love to Ride campaigns, both remotely and at events.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage organisations and individuals to register and participate in Love to Ride Challenges, including Cycle September.
- Contact workplaces via phone and email using warm and cold leads.
- Give presentations and meet with relevant staff to promote Love to Ride.
- Support media activity and distribute marketing materials locally.
- Promote the program at local events.
- Engage local partner organisations to promote the program within their networks.
- Identify and support ‘Champions’ within organisations to promote Love to Ride internally.
- Call and email program participants to support and encourage participation and spreading the word.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and workplace Champions.
- Source and manage locally sponsored incentives and prizes.
- Monitor and evaluate the program, including collecting case studies.
- Act as central liaison for stakeholders and project partners and provide regular progress reports.
- Assist with other duties as directed by the Project Manager.
- Work with the client team to identify priority areas and deliver effective program activities.
Requirements
- Experience in outreach and community engagement.
- Sales and/or promotions background.
- Strong communications skills including verbal and written presentations, copywriting, and chairing meetings.
- Experience or relationships with the local business community.
- Experience in remote outreach/sales/engagement via phone and email.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a positive, structured, and ‘make it happen’ attitude.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work independently.
- Friendly, collaborative, and fun personality.
- Knowledge and ability to ride a bike safely.
- High degree of IT literacy and use of online tools.
- Passion for promoting a program benefiting people, communities, and the environment.
