Marketing and Community Manager - Job Summary
This role combines marketing strategy and community building, requiring a dynamic self-starter to manage marketing efforts, create content, engage the community, and represent Mountain Mile at events.
Key Responsibilities
- Own marketing strategy and direction across all channels
- Build monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns and events
- Create original content focusing on short-form video captured on-site
- Plan and manage paid ad campaigns on Meta and Google
- Manage day-to-day community engagement online and report insights
- Track and optimize content and campaign performance
- Spot trends and platform shifts to maintain brand relevance
- Build and maintain relationships with tenants and local partners
- Lead influencer outreach and partnership coordination
- Develop sponsorships and community partnerships
- Be the social and physical presence at events and activations
- Partner with team to plan and execute key events like Kickoff to Summer and Oktoberfest
Requirements
- 3+ years experience managing marketing strategy, especially in social media or digital marketing
- Strong content creation skills in video, photo, and copy with an emphasis on short-form video
- Hands-on experience running paid ad campaigns on Meta and Google
- Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Self-starter with energy, ideas, and ownership
- Bonus: Familiarity with Pigeon Forge/Sevier County market or marketing entertainment-based developments
- Bonus: Experience with consumer-facing brands in hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
