Marketing and Community Manager - Job Summary

This role combines marketing strategy and community building, requiring a dynamic self-starter to manage marketing efforts, create content, engage the community, and represent Mountain Mile at events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own marketing strategy and direction across all channels
  • Build monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns and events
  • Create original content focusing on short-form video captured on-site
  • Plan and manage paid ad campaigns on Meta and Google
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement online and report insights
  • Track and optimize content and campaign performance
  • Spot trends and platform shifts to maintain brand relevance
  • Build and maintain relationships with tenants and local partners
  • Lead influencer outreach and partnership coordination
  • Develop sponsorships and community partnerships
  • Be the social and physical presence at events and activations
  • Partner with team to plan and execute key events like Kickoff to Summer and Oktoberfest

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience managing marketing strategy, especially in social media or digital marketing
  • Strong content creation skills in video, photo, and copy with an emphasis on short-form video
  • Hands-on experience running paid ad campaigns on Meta and Google
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Self-starter with energy, ideas, and ownership
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Pigeon Forge/Sevier County market or marketing entertainment-based developments
  • Bonus: Experience with consumer-facing brands in hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
